We’re back at Moors Valley but this year, we’re heading indoors! Join us in the warm and welcoming Rangers’ Den for a morning of festive wreath-making using locally foraged foliage and traditional, eco-friendly methods.

About the event
We’re delighted to return to Moors Valley for our fourth year of festive creativity and this time, we’ll be warm and dry in the Rangers’ Hub, right in the heart of the park!
Surrounded by the beauty of the forest, you’ll create your own traditional Christmas wreath using locally foraged foliage and biodegradable materials, guided step-by-step in a friendly, relaxed setting.
We’ll serve tea and coffee to keep hands toasty and spirits bright while you craft. Everything you need is supplied — just bring your smile (and perhaps a friend or family member to share the fun).
What to expect:
All materials provided, moss, foliage, tools, and bow fixings
Traditional techniques using natural, biodegradable elements
A cosy, social morning of festive creativity (ages 16+)
Complimentary hot drinks
A welcoming space hosted by Dorset Council and the Moors Valley Rangers
This workshop has become a much-loved seasonal tradition, and we’re so pleased to be continuing it this year in such a comfortable setting. Whether you’ve joined us before or it’s your first time, you’ll leave with a beautiful, hand-made wreath and that wonderful feeling that comes from making something with your own hands.
